Hinata Takanashi
Hinata loves gardening, and hence she joined the school club to deepen her knowledge. Even during the summer vacations, Hinata often goes to school to take care of plants, and she enjoys to record the progress of their growth with photos she takes. Hinata has always been a very sensible girl. As her parents become more and more busy with their careers, she would choose to stay at home, read diaries and browse photos of her childhood, no matter how desired she wants to go out with them for a nature tour.

Do I mind going out to the countryside every week? Of course not! I am actually glad that you invited me. Let me think... I need to bring lunchboxes, a tablecloth and an umbrella... Ah, sorry, I was too happy and got carried away. Hope the weather is great this weekend.

Have I joined any part-time clubs? Not really, I just enjoy photography as a hobby. But other members in the photography club seemed to really like the photos I took. Sometimes, they even borrowed my photos for exhibitions. I'm quite happy that my works got recognized.

While I am happy to take care of the plants in the club, the unique beauty of natural plants still fascinate me. I love the sun-facing sunflowers in particular, because they make me feel energetic each time I look at them.

Even it was just a simple countryside trip, I still cannot forget all the fond memories of the time I spent with my parents. What about now? I do feel a little lonely sometimes, but I guess that's what growing up is. I should stop being willful and learn to cherish the memories instead, right?

A Special Birthday
Unlock at Bond Lv1
"Hinata, why don't you go to your mom? I'll handle things here." Hinata Takanashi gazed at the backyard as her father bent over to carry away a weighty flower pot. She stood mostly hidden in the shadow of the door, leaving only her anxious face visible. "Dad... why do they all have to go?" Her father paused for a moment and regarded the drooping plants mournfully. "Your mom and I just can't give them the care they need. It feels like a disservice to your grandmother. But Hinata, once we deliver these to the florist's, they'll be in the hands of a professional." Hearing their conversation, Hinata's mother came over to them and gently stroked Hinata's head. "Hinata, you've been spending so much time out here lately, just staring off into space. Your dad and I are worried about you. You're a big girl now, so please... it's time to let these plants go. Okay?" "...No." Little Hinata shook her head, then bolted into the yard. Spreading her arms wide to block the plants from being taken away, she declared in a small but firm voice: "They've already lost Grandma. If we give up on them too, then they'll really be all alone... I can learn! I can learn how to take care of them!" By that afternoon, it was clear that the plants were here to stay. Pulling the key to the backyard from the lock, Hinata's father gently placed it into his daughter's small palm. From that moment on, the yard became Hinata's very own little kingdom, and she became its most dedicated gardener. After school, she would rush straight to the backyard and only come inside when it was time for dinner, her clothes often speckled with dirt and mud. "Looks like our Hinata has been quite busy with something lately," her mother ventured at the dinner table. "That's right! Something amazing!" Hinata said, nodding vigorously. Seeing the healthy glow in her daughter's cheeks and the light in her eyes, Hinata's mother felt greatly reassured. She decided to just let Hinata continue enjoying her alone time in the backyard. And so the days passed like this, one after another, until one weekend following a rainy spell. Finally seeing some sunshine, Hinata's mother checked on the bedsheets that had been hanging to dry for days. Still damp, they were now starting to take on a musty scent. "I should take these outside to dry while the sun is out." After a brief hesitation at the backyard door, she pulled it open. "Hinata, could I..." But what she saw before her stopped her in her tracks. Sunlight poured across the entire yard, bathing every inch of it in warmth. The once-withered plants now brimmed with vitality in the fresh, soft soil, their leaves beaming a healthy green. Hinata crouched before a pot of sunflowers, a freshly blown-out candle in her hands. "Happy birthday, sunflowers!" Hearing a noise behind her, Hinata turned around with a bashful smile. "Mom! I'm giving the sunflowers a birthday party. Look, they're not lonely anymore with me here!" There was such an earnest look in her eyes – like she wasn't just protecting a few potted plants, but the entire world. It was then that her mother noticed the open notebook at Hinata's side. Written in her clumsy handwriting were meticulous notes on the plants' bloom times, their birthdays, and even birthday messages for them. Her mother stepped out into the vibrant backyard. Crouching down, she used her thumb to gently wipe a speck of dirt from the tip of Hinata's nose. Instead of burying herself in grief over her grandma's passing, her daughter had done the exact opposite. She poured all her curiosity, patience, and love into tending the garden her grandma left behind, nurturing new buds to bloom from withered branches. Perhaps, all along, the only ones too afraid to open the backyard door and face those plants were the adults themselves. One evening a few days later, Hinata's father threaded the backyard key onto a chain alongside a small sunflower charm and slipped it over Hinata's neck. "From this day forward, our family's most treasured garden is officially under your care, Hinata." With the cool metal key resting over her racing heart, Hinata lowered her head and clutched the little sunflower tightly. She knew that from now on, the garden would always thrive – in sunshine, in rain, and in the songs she would never stop singing.
The Gardening Club President's Journal
Unlock at Bond Lv2
Dear Journal, You're supposed to be a serious work journal, so I probably shouldn't be writing about my feelings here, but I just can't resist putting down how happy I am! Today is my very first day as President of the Gardening Club! :) It's been a week since I found you here, and I've already read everything the previous president wrote down. She took such good care of this greenhouse. Even after graduating, she still comes back from time to time just to water and fertilize the plants. She took her responsibilities as president very seriously, and now the duty of looking after the club's plants falls to me! I don't know if I'll be able to do as good a job as she did, but I'm determined to work just as hard and put in just as much passion! That said, taking care of such a large greenhouse will be no easy task... But the previous president managed it, and since she filled your pages with so many notes from her experience, I know I can do it too! So, I'd better plan out the gardening club's activities for this semester: First, we have to secure enough funding from the Student Council before the club application deadline! Hmm... I definitely can't forget about that, so I'll underline this in red... Next, we have to select our seeds and seedlings! We might not have the funding yet, but I've already gotten the seed trays out so I can repair, clean, and air-dry them. That way, when the time comes, we can get straight to planting! As for what we should plant... sunflowers are always a good choice. Everyone's sure to love their bright, golden petals! Tulips would be nice too. When they bloom, they'll turn the greenhouse into a beautiful sea of color – like something out of an oil painting... That reminds me, succulents are so cute and tiny and lots of the students like those too... Oooh! Let's just plant a little bit of everything! I'll use my allowance to cover additional costs if I have to! It'll be worth it as long as it helps everyone fall in love with plants! Last up is recruiting new members... This feels like the toughest part... after all, finding like-minded people is completely down to chance. If new members join, we could try growing rarer plants that need extra care. If not... well, we'll just take good care of the ones we already have. Don't get greedy, Hinata! Either way, whether we get new members for the club or not, I'm staying here no matter what... Hmm... Is "no matter what" a little extreme? My point is, I hope the gardening club's flowers will bloom all over campus. I also hope that if any future presidents come across this journal, they might find my entries helpful. Just like the last president's notes helped me! We're all counting on you, Journal. Hinata
Secret Training?!
Unlock at Bond Lv3
Today's mahjong session ends once again with Hinata Takanashi's defeat. "Oh... I dealt into the winning hand again," she scratches at her face, somewhat embarrassed. Her lilac hair sways gently with her movements. After glancing at the time on her phone, she waves to the three other players at the table. "Sorry, looks like my mahjong skills haven't improved much since we last played... but I'll do better next time!" Watching Hinata hurry off, the remaining three fall silent. "We have to do something." A hint of seriousness surfaces in Hideki Akechi's usually gentle expression. "Yesterday, she was already in the activity room taking notes by 7:00 AM. Her mahjong has definitely improved, but she's practicing so intensely it's honestly a bit worrying." "I've noticed that too," Mirai says, her voice lowered and concerned. "The activity room lights were still on after 11:00 PM the night before last..." "Heh... Seeking the ultimate truth of the tiles in the abyss of solitude... even at the cost of her own life?" Natsuki Shinomiya shakes his head, eyes closed. "Then what's sealed within that notebook is undoubtedly her 'Secret Manual.'" "It hardly matters what's inside – this is bad for her health." Hideki sighs. "Let's come a little earlier next time. If the pressure is getting to her, we should really try to help her unwind." A few days later, the three of them arrange to play mahjong with Hinata and arrive at the activity room half an hour early. They push open the door, only to find that, contrary to their expectations, Hinata isn't there with her head buried in her notebook. Instead, she stands in the morning light, gently misting the potted plants on the windowsill with a small spray bottle. "Oh, good morning, everyone!" Hinata says with a smile. "I'll put my gardening tools away now. There's no way I'd hold up today's training." The three of them stand there, stunned, as they glance around the activity room. The pothos in the corner has grown thick and verdant, while the succulents on the windowsill are plump and round like little drops of jade. "Um... Hinata?" Mirai asks tentatively, pointing to the thick notebook beside her. "You mean, the reason you've been coming early and leaving late... isn't to practice mahjong?" "What, to practice mahjong...?" Hinata blinks in confusion. Then her cheeks flush red as she realizes, and she hastily sets down the spray bottle. "Oh... I'm so sorry, I think there's been a misunderstanding..." "I haven't actually been practicing," Hinata says, opening the notebook everyone had mistaken for a secret manual. "I just saw the plants in here and wanted to take care of them. I thought it would make the room feel nicer for mahjong!" She points to a glossy plant, "That clivia's respiration is most active at 7:00 AM, so I come in early to wipe its leaves!" "So that's what you were writing in that notebook..." Mirai says, leaning in curiously as her eyes settle on a page marked "Pest and Disease Control." "That's right! Since sacred lilies and Flaming Katies are especially prone to scale insects, I spray them with pesticide at night as a preventive measure," she says, gently stroking one of the leaves. "The plants in the activity room are so cute, and they've spent so much time with everyone through all those mahjong sessions that they practically feel like club members themselves! It would be such a shame if any of them got sick or withered away." As Hinata keeps talking, the tension in the air gradually eases. "I see..." Hideki says with a helpless smile. "Since these plants are part of the mahjong club, we can't just leave all the work of looking after them to Hinata alone." "I'll help!" Mirai's hand shoots up at once, her face lighting up with excitement. "My eyes haven't been getting nearly as tired when I'm working with data on my screen lately. And it's all thanks to these plants!" Natsuki nods. "This could be considered a form of 'training.' Count me in." At that, Hinata finally relaxes her tightly clasped hands. She flashes everyone a smile and nods vigorously. The mahjong session that follows is more relaxed than ever before. "The clacking of the tiles sounds even crisper than usual lately." Hideki takes a deep breath as he plays a tile. "I feel like there's a faint scent of plants in the air. It's quite calming." "Looking at greenery after a long game really does help relieve stress!" Mirai says in agreement. "Hmm... I'm thinking about designing mahjong tables with built-in plants!" "Not only that..." Natsuki calmly chimes in, "having all this vibrant life in the room really helps to clear my head." "Oh... um, Tsumo. After a Kan." While everyone is busy talking about the plants, Hinata suddenly gasps and bashfully lays her tiles down. "What?! Lemme see!" "A beautiful hand." "Looks like your 'training' is complete now." Hinata looks at the mahjong tiles in front of her, then at the plants, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. Outside the window, the sunlight hits just right.

Scenario Script

Hearing that a new flower market with a wide variety of plants has opened in One Han City, I immediately think of the person who is always tending to flowers and greenery, and head to the gardening club at the National University of Fuuchi.
The gardening club is rather quiet this weekend, save for a rhythmic clicking. I follow the sound and spot Hinata Takanashi, totally absorbed in photographing a sunflower.
Hmm... This angle should capture every single dewdrop on the leaves.
What if I... Oh, the backlight makes it look so adorable!
Whoa?!
Phew... You scared the life out of me! I almost dropped the camera...
{var:player_nickname}, what are you doing here on the weekend?
Were you looking for me? Uh... have I kept you waiting?
That's a relief. I'd feel terrible if I'd kept you waiting...
Hehe, you know me so well.
So these are the new seedlings you've been telling me about?
Mm-hmm. They always remind me of going to see sunflowers in the countryside with my mom and dad when I was little.
It felt so warm, like the sun was giving me a big hug.
They're so busy lately... so I thought, why not grow my own little slice of sunshine?
I can definitely see them blooming already.
I know, right? They were so frail when I brought them home, but look at them now! They're total naturals in front of the camera.
I'm going to give them some fresh potting mix after this, so I asked Reina for a little time off. I'll be back at Éternité next weekend, I promise!
Well, if you're on a break, you wanna hang out with me today?
I actually came here to invite you to that huge new flower market that just opened.
A flower market? That sounds amazing! I bet there are so many unique plants, but...
Don't worry about the sunflowers. I'll help you take care of them when we get back!
Really? Okay then! Thank you so much, {var:player_nickname}!
Let's get going!
Whoa... this place is even bigger than I imagined!
{var:player_nickname}, look at this Bunny Succulent! It's like tiny bunnies with long ears, isn't it?
It's a bit on the small side, though... looks like it's starving for some fertilizer. I should tell the owner... but first, let me get a photo of it!
You really do enjoy giving plants their own photoshoots, don't you?
Well, they're all so adorable! I feel like every moment of their lives is worth capturing.
And whenever I look back at the pictures, I get to relive all the time I spent with them!
Let's make today a day to remember, then!
Eh? You mean you want to take a photo with me? I'd love to!
If we can, let's include the plants in the photo too. I hope you'll grow fond of them as well.
Oh, I've got some really good ones lately!
Check this out, that's the little bunny succulent from earlier, and here are my sunflower seedlings...
And this one...
Uh...
On the screen is a tiny bonsai tree. Its once-green needles are now covered in dull yellow patches, looking drained of life.
This one is a Buddhist pine. It suffered from major neglect. The roots were waterlogged, which led to a fungal outbreak of anthracnose and leaf blight...
They brought it to me as a last resort... I read every book I could find and tried everything, but I still couldn't...
Hinata...
Anyway, I'm supposed to be having fun with you, {var:player_nickname}! Let's talk about something more cheerful.
I'm okay! It's over and done with. Come on, let's see what else they have!
Wow, they have everything! Thanksgiving cacti, baseball plants, even lithops... I've got to take some more shots!
Wait, is that...
Hey, those succulents have those same black spots you showed me earlier...
That's terrible... even in a professional shop like this, they're not being taken care of...
Sigh, how am I ever going to save up enough to buy them all and bring them back home...
Wait, what am I saying? You brought me here to have a good time. Let's go and...
What's the deal here?! I want an explanation right now!!
Sounds like someone's causing a scene.
Let's go check it out!
I've only had this Haworthia cooperi for a few days, and look at it! Why is it shriveling?
My apologies, really... The manager is away, and I'm just filling in as the acting manager...
This is the one you bought, right? Let me take a look at it...
Maybe it's just... underwatered? Let's give it some water and see if it helps.
No, don't!
Huh?! Wh-what?! Who are you, miss...?
Look at the soil of this Haworthia cooperi – there's white powder in it. And see how the leaves are yellowing?
It's probably root mealybugs. Watering it now will just make the infestation spread!
Oh, really?! Wait... you're right! The manager told me about this... I almost made a huge mistake!
I've got a lot to learn... If I'd ruined these plants because of my own mistake... I don't even want to think about it.
I really owe you one! Is there anything here that catches your eye? Pick any plant you want, on the house! It's the least I can do.
Oh, it was nothing, really. You don't need to do that...
Plus, I'm sure the manager would feel much better knowing the plant is in your hands.
Well, if you insist... thank you! I'll just take this little one, if that's okay...
Well, if you insist... thank you! I'll just take this little one, if that's okay...
Really? That little bunny succulent is a bit of a runt... we didn't even think it would sell. Are you sure you don't want something better?
That's okay! I'll take good care of it and make sure it grows big and strong!
Well then, it's all yours. This little one is lucky to have someone like you. Come back anytime!
Shall we see what else the market has to offer?
You bet! There are so many more plants I want to see while we're here!
Alright, let's – wait a second. Is that who I think it is?
Oh! What a pleasant surprise.
Mrs. Kitami! I didn't expect to see you here!
What brings you to the flower market today, Mrs. Kitami?
Well, the basil I was growing at home got some kind of mold... I had to toss it, which is such a shame for my cooking.
So I'm looking for a replacement. This one looks nice and lively. I'm sure the sauce will be wonderful!
You are making sauce with it?
Mm-hmm! You can make a lovely pesto with basil leaves. It goes so well with meat!
I'm still a bit worried, though. If I can't figure out what happened to my last one, I'm afraid I'll lose this one too...
Mold, huh? Yeah, that happens a lot with herbs.
It's probably gray mold or powdery mildew. I wish I could have seen it in person to be sure...
But please, Mrs. Kitami, if you ever have any more plant troubles, you're always welcome to ask me!
Haha, I'll keep that in mind! Thank you.
I kind of thought you'd be a bit sad about plants being used for food, Hinata.
Not at all! My grandma used to say that plants grow up so they can be useful. As long as they're appreciated, they're happy.
It's much better than just being thrown out and forgotten.
Oh, I feel exactly the same way! Respecting your ingredients is the secret to a truly delicious meal.
Oh, I should get some mint too! I've been meaning to make some mint sauce.
Mint sauce? I've always wanted to try that! Mrs. Kitami, would you mind teaching me?
Sure thing! If you'll be my "gardening consultant," I'll be your "cooking consultant." Haha!
I'm going to make mint sauce this weekend. You and {var:player_nickname} should definitely come by in the afternoon!
Thanks, Mrs. Kitami!
Sounds like a plan, then! I'll see you both soon. Excuse me, I'd like to pay for these!
And there she goes...
I can't wait to try Mrs. Kitami's food.
Ugh... I had a whole list of things I wanted to ask her about in my head...
Her ability in the kitchen is amazing...
Eh...!
Because even with all these adorable plants around, you didn't get distracted.
You were still thinking about the gardening club and that little bunny succulent. You really care about every single one of them.
Mm-hmm! If I'm going to take them in, I have to be there for them!
Oh! You're so sweet, {var:player_nickname}!
Whether in the cafe or the gardening club, you're always helping me out. I hope I'm not being too much of a burden...
Hey, when you're free, let's go on a picnic sometime. I'll make the sandwiches!
I'm happy to help, but those sandwiches sound like a great bonus!
Awesome, it's settled! Let's get moving. There's still so much of the market left to see!
Th-thank you for the compliment, {var:player_nickname}...
I just want to do my best for them and be there whenever they need me...
Just like how I love spending time with my parents and my grandma.
And honestly... I'm just happy to be by your side right now, {var:player_nickname}.
Whew... there's still so much to see. Let's head that way!
...
Everything okay? Why'd you stop?
That new little bunny succulent... and those poor plants in the market...
Ugh... It feels like my list of plants to rescue and care for is growing faster than I can keep up with...
I get it. To you, saving a sick plant is more important than just getting a new one.
You got me there, {var:player_nickname}. Was it that obvious?
Sorry, I didn't mean to...
Why apologize?
I know we were supposed to be having a great time together, but...
Seeing those sick plants just makes my heart ache. It's like I can't breathe...
I know it's unusual to treat plants like they're my own children... You probably think I'm weird, right?
D-do you really mean that?
I've seen how hard you study and how much love you put into every single plant.
You're just doing what makes you happy and being kind to living things. That's a wonderful quality, not a weird one.
You really think so, {var:player_nickname}?
Even if I have a dream that might be a little unrealistic...?
If you really believe in me, {var:player_nickname}, then I think I can find the courage to say it...
There's something I've always wanted to do...
I want to open a shop that's more than just a store. I want it to be a "plant nursery."
I'd take in all the sick and abandoned plants and care for them until they're strong enough to find a new home with someone who truly loves them.
Just like my grandma used to do.
When I was a kid, no one knew how to take care of my grandma's bonsai trees after she was gone. My parents almost got rid of them... it was heartbreaking.
I don't want any other plant to have to go through that.
So I want to build a place like that. A home where every plant, no matter how small, gets a second chance.
I'm working hard to save up for it, but that means I have to be realistic and pass on these sick plants we just saw for now.
But if I just walk away, what's the point of my dream in the first place?
{var:player_nickname}... I feel like I'm failing before I've even started. What should I do?
Wait, really?
You've got a lot on your plate, but you don't have to do it alone. I'll be your partner.
{var:player_nickname}...
You're totally right. I was getting so caught up in the "future" that I forgot the "now."
I've got the dream, and I've got your help. Time to stop doubting and start doing!
Let's go, {var:player_nickname}! Let's get those little ones back to the "nursery"!
It's late already! Those poor plants in the corner need us – run, run, run!
Before I can react, Hinata suddenly grabs my hand and starts running back toward the shop we just left.
You're way stronger than you look! Even if you just tried to walk out with all those plants earlier, no one could've stopped you...
Easy there, Hinata! Save some strength, or we'll be too tired to carry the plants back!
I know! Just a little longer, everyone! I'm coming for you!
Oh, you again? Did you forget something?
Phew... Please... let me... have that one!
Which one are you talking about?
I'll take those ones over there...
And I'm taking these too!
These sick ones? Are you sure? That's like... a dozen pots.
Absolutely! Please, let me give them the care they need!
W-well, I can't say no to that kind of passion. Since you're doing me a favor, I'll give you a discount. It's a pleasure doing business with you!
By the time the last sick plant was settled in the gardening club, it was already pitch black outside.
Phew... That's the last one. Everyone's in a new pot now.
...
Uh oh.
It took four whole hours just to repot, spray, and tag everything...
And that was just the emergency stuff. We still have to check on them every single day...
{var:player_nickname}... what are we going to do? I think we bit off more than we can chew...
Sigh... Next time, I won't get so carried away.
{var:player_nickname}... You've got to stop me if I try this again!
Sure, but I'll need to hit the gym first to be strong enough to stop you. But right now...
There's no turning back. Let's make this work, Hinata!
Really?! {var:player_nickname}, do you have a plan? Tell me!
If we start a CatChat account to show everyone how to nurse plants back to health...
It would save so many plants without you having to carry them all back here!
You can't run a nursery alone. You need a whole team of "specialists" and "caretakers" out there!
I get it! You want me to teach others so they can become "specialists" at saving plants, too!
That way... we can save so many more lives than I ever could alone!
Exactly! And to make sure people see it... we might need some "professional" help.
Professional help?
Yeah, someone who's a total "mega influencer" in One Han City.
My schedule is packed with fans, you know. Saying yes to you is a huge favor, so don't forget that gift you owe me!
So, is this cute little "noob" the one you were talking about?
Whoa, it's actually her... Hibiki Himekawa! Um, hi... I'm Hinata Takanashi...
Yes. We're starting a CatChat account for plant care, and we need a professional like you to give it a boost.
Seriously? My stream is a sanctuary for hardcore gaming and legit entertainment, and you want me to promote... what, gardening?
I guess that's a no...?
But, {var:player_nickname} showed me your photos. I have to admit, your photography skills and plant knowledge are "hardcore" in their own way...
So, I'll give you guys a shot. We'll do a collab stream: "Emergency Plant Rescue for My Chat"!
But if this is all just a marketing stunt and you mess up, you're gonna get roasted.
If it's for the plants... you can count on me!
Help me, Doc! Is this little guy gonna make it? I can't play my games without my plant bro!
It's leaf scorch. Did you spill soda or something in there? Plants need clean water just like we do!
My orchid just went totally limp. What's wrong with it, Doc?
That's stem rot. You're gonna have to do some surgery and cut away those bad parts. Trust the process. Plants are tougher than they look!
Then grab some fungicide spray from the store. Use just a little bit, nice and even. I'll write the instructions down so you can take a screenshot!
LMAO Hibiki is just standing there like an NPC. The fans are gonna love this!
This plant expert is actually legit. No wonder Hibiki recommended her.
I'm reading the chat, you know! Say another word and you're banned for life!
{var:player_nickname}! We're blowing up! Look at all these new followers!
I didn't realize there were so many plants in One Han City waiting for someone to help them.
People are even coming to adopt the little ones from the club! I'm so glad we did this.
I never could have built this huge team of plant rescuers without you, {var:player_nickname}.
Thank you for giving me the strength to follow my dream!
P-professor...? Oh, I still have a lot to learn!
The bunny succulent – the one that witnessed the birth of the nursery – is sitting in the sun right now. It's still a bit small, but those "bunny ears" look so cute and healthy.
Look, {var:player_nickname}! I think it's finally starting to grow!
Well, it does have the best caretaker in the world looking after it.
Stop, you're making me blush!
Hinata blushes, then seems to remember something. She gently places the little bunny succulent in my palm and picks up her camera.
{var:player_nickname}, let's take a picture for our account's profile photo!
After all, this little one saw everything from the start... and this "nursery" is something we built together.
Later, the CatChat named "Sprout Nursery" updated its profile picture: a photo of two hands cupped together, cradling a lovingly tended bunny succulent.
Now, in a sunny corner, that little plant is growing strong, dreaming of the next spring and all the possibilities ahead.

Whew! I'm done moving them too!
These little guys are safe from the blistering sun now.
I'd never have finished this alone with so many plants to move. Thanks for the help, {var:player_nickname}.
Now for the shade nets. Once those are up, they'll be protected no matter where the sun hits.
I'm definitely a bit of a sweaty mess... but seeing them all tucked away and tidy really makes my day.
You're right. There's nothing like that "job well done" feeling...
I was just heading out! But it's been so scorching lately, I couldn't focus on work knowing my plants were baking.
Care to join me, {var:player_nickname}? Reina just got some fresh coffee beans in today!
Sounds good. I could really use a cold drink to cool off.
Then let's get moving! I'll personally make that first cup for you, {var:player_nickname}.
Oh, Hinata, you're here! Just in time. Do you think you could help me move these boxes outside?
Huh? Move them out? Wait, what's going on, Reina?
Hmm... Sad to say, but Éternité might be closed for the summer.
Huh?! Why?!
It's the heat and humidity. The coffee beans for our summer special were ruined during delivery.
We had other food and drinks we could've served, but just our luck – the AC just gave up on us this morning.
I'm not letting everyone work in such harsh conditions, and no one is going to sit down to eat in a sauna.
Restocking and fixing the AC will take time. {var:player_nickname}, Hinata, I'll update you when we're back. My apologies...
That look on Reina's face... I can't stop thinking about it.
She's been working for the new blend since spring. Breaking a promise to her regulars is the last thing she wanted.
Yeah... I just don't know how. If only I were as clever as you, {var:player_nickname}...
Umm... {var:player_nickname}, could you help me out? Just like the way you handled things with Sprout Nursery!
What if we make a "summer special" that doesn't need any coffee beans at all?
Oh! That would solve the whole restocking problem!
But what should we make? Plain tea or juice might disappoint the regulars. It needs to be special.
I know! {var:player_nickname}, you have so many friends in One Han City. Let's go ask them for ideas!
"The special flavor of summer," huh? Hahaha... You always come through with the most random questions, {var:player_nickname}.
Summer's the only thing that can melt Northland's snow, but it's hard to describe the "flavor" of that.
If I had to choose the most "honest" answer, though, I would have to say...
...this "orange soda" right here.
And it's just the basic kind from any old vending machine...
A great businessman knows the best investments are often the most cost-effective ones.
Real treasure is found in the simple things that trigger precious memories. When you've lived through the snow, you appreciate the sweetness.
And who knows? An orange soda mixed by {var:player_nickname} might be something truly special.
The flavor of summer? Popsicles, obviously! Especially when you split one with a friend!
Peach is sweet, Chocolate is so rich... My tummy loves them all! Don't make me pick!
But I know this: if it's a good drink, it'll be an even better popsicle!
I'm gotta go find the kitties! {var:player_nickname}, don't forget, you're coming with me next time!
Good morning, senpai.
(whisper) Are we really asking Yui?
...?
It's funny how tense you look, senpai. You're here to ask about the food, right? I'd recommend the Yam & Fish Soda.
...Noted. Thanks!
Alright, we've got a list! Orange soda and popsicles... total summer classics!
But Éternité is closed. Where can we actually do the mixing?
No need to bother anyone else. Let's just go to my place!
It's fine, follow me!
Welcome! Please, come in!
We've been out in the sun too long. Here, {var:player_nickname}, let me help you with that sweat.
It's nice and cool inside. {var:player_nickname}, feel free to look around and rest before we start!
Hehe, it's like natural perfume, smells refreshing, right? I'm glad you like it, {var:player_nickname}!
{var:player_nickname}, feel free to look around! Make yourself at home!
Her place looks like a typical home, aside from a jungle of potted plants on the tables...
Also, even with the AC on low, the room feels surprisingly cool...
How is it, {var:player_nickname}? Pretty cool in here, right?
It is... I can barely feel the summer heat. Is the AC even doing that much?
Hehe, that's because my "green helpers" are working their magic!
This way! I'll introduce you to them!
Ta-da!
Hinata, you have... so many plants in your yard!
Yep! They're my pride and joy. I've been waiting for the day I could finally show you around.
I tell them everything – about school, the cafe... and {var:player_nickname}...
Ah! I-I mean... they provide shade and keep the air fresh and cool. Plus, aren't they just pretty?
{var:player_nickname}... what do you think? Do you like it?
N-not me! I mean the plants in the yard...!
They look so healthy. You've really poured your heart into this, haven't you?
They look so healthy. You've really poured your heart into this, haven't you?
Wait... Are these little tags on the plants? Some old, some new, and some are even laminated. But that's not your writing, is it?
My grandma wrote those. I've saved them all since I first started gardening with her.
This one's from my 5th birthday. The other reminds me not to overwater the ball cactus...
Hmm? That bunny succulent you brought back has a tag too. The color is different. Is it special?
Oh! That's...!
I hope that someday I can...
H-hey! No peeking!
At least... not now. Maybe another time!
At least... not now. Maybe another time!
Phew... Okay, tour's over. We have a drink to make! To the kitchen, {var:player_nickname}!
Ugh...
I tried making it more bubbly, which completely washed out the flavor...
Then I added orange zest and an orange popsicle as a garnish. It looks nice, but now it has this bitter taste I can't fix...
I feel like I've tried everything I can think of, but it's just not working...
It's okay... at least you did your best...
I just... I really wanted this to work.
But no matter what I do, I just can't find that "flavor of summer" we're looking for...
Yeah, it feels like something is missing...
Is there really nothing we can do until the next coffee beans arrive...?
Maybe... we're trying too hard to find other people's "flavor of summer" instead of ours?
Oh, me? Hmm...
Besides the drinks on family trips... my grandma used to make me this cold drink when I was little.
On those hot summer evenings with the cicadas buzzing... I'd sit on my little chair and watch her work in the garden.
She'd hum these old songs I didn't know while rinsing the fresh-picked mint and basil. The whole yard would smell like them.
Just when I was about to nod off from the heat, she'd hand me that drink...
One sip of it felt like finding a patch of cool moss on a burning road, and just lying there to cool off...
I don't know why, but that's the image that stuck. It was herbal and refreshingly cool just like the moss...
But... don't all grandmas make drinks like that? It's probably nothing special...
No, not all of them.
Wait, really?!
Haha... Good thing you're here... otherwise I'd be making a fool of myself again.
Still, that drink sounds unique, delicious, and simple... That's it! The perfect "summer special" Éternité needs!! Let's try to recreate it!
Really? But... I don't have a recipe. I have no idea how she actually made it...
We don't need a recipe if we have your memories. Let's work through it one step at a time!
You said she washed the fresh mint and basil... What was her secret for getting that aroma out?
Now that you mention it, I do remember a bit of what she did to them.
She didn't chop them. She'd put the basil and mint in her palm and give them a light "clap"... That's how she woke up the aroma!
There's the first step!
The glass was always icy and full of bubbles... so we need chilled soda water!
And the sweetness... she told me once it wasn't sugar, but I've totally forgotten what she used...
...
Actually... Grandma left me a wooden box. She said her most precious things were inside.
Sounds like a treasure box... Maybe the secret to the drink is in there!
Hehe, I think so too. I was a bit scared to go through her things before... I didn't want to get sad again.
But now, I've realized that remembering her doesn't have to be sad... What she left behind for me wasn't meant to be sorrow, but the joy within those memories.
{var:player_nickname}, let's open it together.
It's... dried mint, basil, and... stevia leaves? That must be the source of the sweetness! And there's a note underneath...
{var:player_nickname}, I...
Okay...
To my dearest Hinata, who always gets woozy in the summer heat –
If you ever miss my special drink, try this: 5 spearmint leaves, 3 sweet basil leaves, 2 stevia leaves. Clap them 'awake,' then add chilled soda and lemon.
I want you to learn this drink. That way, I'll always be by your side, and we'll share another joyful, unforgettable summer.
She knew that eventually, some summer afternoon would lead me right back to this drink.
I think... she wanted you to move forward. She left you a map to find her and recall the beautiful memories again.
Alright, {var:player_nickname}. Let's make it!
This time, I'm going to make "our" summer special using Grandma's recipe, so everyone can feel the same joy!
Basil, stevia, lemon, mint... add the soda, a quick stir...
All done! {var:player_nickname}, can you... do the honors?
Wow. That's amazing. It's completely different from anything in a store.
R-really? Let me try it too!
This is it! It tastes just like Grandma's! We did it, {var:player_nickname}!
Whoops! Sorry, sorry! I just got a little excited...
Since you liked it too, let's go talk to Reina!
Hmm... such a unique flavor. It's so refreshing. This could actually work as our new special...
Yes!
But... there's still one problem.
Hmm... the technician came by. He has to order a specific part for the compressor, so the AC can only run on low power now.
Oh no... how unfortunate...
We've got the drink, but it's still a sauna in here. We'll pass out before we can serve anyone.
And no customers will stick around to finish their drink...
You know, when we were at your place, it felt cool even with the AC on low...
Of course! The plants! Transpiration will cool the air down and increase the humidity!
{var:player_nickname}, let's help Reina one more time!
If we bring some plants from the club and my house, it'll cool the place down and give it a fresh look!
Hmm... a "green" renovation?
That's a very "Hinata" idea. Bold, sweet, and unique.
If it's not too much trouble... please, give it a try! I'd love to see how it looks!
Wow! The cafe looks just like a garden now! The temperature's still up, but it's already feeling fresher and I'm feeling better already!
Hinata, {var:player_nickname}, thank you so much!
We're all set! Now we just wait for the plants to work their magic.
Great job, {var:player_nickname}. Here, Reina and I made these sandwiches while you were finishing up.
Now, let's take a group photo!
One, two... three! To the new summer special and our "green AC"!
Hehe... I couldn't have done it without you!
This new drink is so refreshing... and it's way cooler in here.
Whoa! It's like a garden party in here! And it makes a great photo spot! I'm so glad I followed Sprout Nursery's recommendation!
The new drink is totally different from the old ones, but it's actually amazing!
The customers are raving about it! You two really saved the day!
Hehe...
We did it, {var:player_nickname}! I'm so happy everyone likes Grandma's drink. And Reina is smiling again!
No, {var:player_nickname} was the one who asked around, thought of the plants, and... helped me find Grandma's recipe.
It was a team effort!
Phew... Shift's over.
Everyone loves our "summer special," but I think...
That first glass we shared... that was the only one that felt "special" to me.
Hehe... maybe.
But maybe it's also because the air here makes all the stress and worry just... disappear.
I used to feel a bit sad when I thought about Grandma in the summer. Like those days were gone forever.
But today, watching the bubbles rise and the ice clinking in the glass...
I feel like those memories aren't something to be sad about. They've just changed into something new and come back to me.
Yeah. It's not just that one dusty memory of a hot summer anymore.
It's a brand new summer where {var:player_nickname} helped me, and we made a mess of the kitchen, and finally sat here in the breeze...
I love this feeling... I wish this moment could last just a little longer.
Yeah.
The setting sun filters through the layers of leaves, painting a forest in the glass and casting soft, dappled light across her face.
The best fruits are always hidden under the leaves, waiting for someone who's actually looking.
I finally found that "hidden fruit" I couldn't reach all these years, and it's all because of you.
Cheers, {var:player_nickname}! Thank you for helping me find my way back to that summer...
And thank you for giving me such a wonderful new memory!
That was a bit embarrassing to say... hehe...
Hinata raises her glass toward the setting sun. The bubbles sparkle in the golden light as if capturing the moment.
The two glasses clink together with a clear, crisp sound.
Within the bubbles, the flavors of two different summers become one.
I didn't realize you were so interested in my plants, {var:player_nickname}...!
Then I'll introduce you to every single one!
I brought my camera too! I've always thought you'd look great with plants. Can I take a few photos?
It'll be quick, I promise! Just need the right angle, focus, and lighting!
Of course, it's a special occasion! {var:player_nickname}, try to look natural. Imagine you're a plant soaking up the sun!
Oh, that "huh?" look is perfect! You look just like that lithops. Very adorable!
Now, move a bit to the left, right next to that mint!
I'm starting to feel like a specimen in a greenhouse...
That's a natural expression! Now one more with the spider plant!
The sun's moving. Let's try a different angle!
This angle is great for a duo. The bunny succulent is resting, so {var:player_nickname}, let's pose like we're waking it up together!
Oh! I-I'm sure it's just around here somewhere... but anyway!
By September, the bunny succulent will look like little bunnies again! We'll have to take another photo from this angle then, like we actually woke it up. It'll be so much fun!
By September, the bunny succulent will look like little bunnies again! We'll have to take another photo from this angle then, like we actually woke it up. It'll be so much fun!
Okay, now check this one! It's a perfect background for us, too. Its scientific name is actually...
The "quick" photoshoot continued as Hinata kept finding one "perfect angle" after another...
Hehe... I didn't realize it had gotten so late... Sorry, I got a bit carried away...
But you looked so good with the plants, {var:player_nickname}. I can't bring myself to delete a single photo!
...
Wait, what time is it?! Oh no!
Did we... completely forget about the "summer special" drink?!
Ugh... But a promise is a promise! I'll definitely figure out the drink by tomorrow, I swear!

Today, I'm meeting up with Hinata Takanashi after receiving a request from her in a private message.
"There's something very important that I'd like us to do together..." What could she mean?
Oh, {var:player_nickname}! Over here!
Morning, {var:player_nickname}! Thanks for coming to meet me!
I only just got here myself. You're right on time, {var:player_nickname}!
I hope you're ready for an exciting day.
Speaking of which... check it out!
Ta-da!
This is my new photo album! Isn't it cute?
And for today's activity... I especially brought the camera my grandma gave me!
You mean, the activity you wanted us to do together... is to take photos?
Hehe, to be precise... It's to take a photo of us together!
Remember the photos you took with the plants at my house before? I really liked them... but by the time I got them developed, there wasn't any space left in my photo album.
I want to share the space in this new album with you and use it to preserve even more memories of our times together.
{var:player_nickname}, would you help me get the perfect photo of the two of us to use as the cover image for this album?
Great! Shall we try taking our first photo then? Here, let's face the camera...
Our journey to take the perfect photo together begins with this first snap in a park she often visited as a child.
In a narrow alley packed with flower shops, we strike all sorts of poses at the various storefronts, experimenting with novel compositions.
Inside a diorama shop currently trending on CatChat, we huddle close together, holding our breath as we focus on a flower the size of a fingernail.
Before we know it, the afternoon has already flown by...
The test shots we took on my phone look quite nice composition-wise... I'm getting more and more excited to see how they'll turn out on film.
Hmm, it's tough to pick a favorite. They're all good pictures...
But the perfect photo should make us think "That's the one!" the moment we look at it – meaning it should have jumped out at us right away. Instead, we can't pick one at all...
So... let's keep going! We'll switch locations until we take a photo worthy of being called the perfect photo!
Sounds good. But haven't we already been to all the places you originally planned to go to?
Oh, how silly of me – I should have planned for more!
Where else can we take a photo together...?
Eh? But... we haven't taken the perfect photo yet.
Maybe you didn't notice, but all those good photos were taken when we were having a great time...
I could be wrong, but maybe "good photos" go hand-in-hand with "good feelings."
I see... Maybe it is better if our minds are totally blank for the photos!
That's... not quite what I meant...
Ahaha... I guess I don't really get it...
{var:player_nickname}, why don't you decide where we go next? I'm sure I'll like wherever you pick!
So... The best photo isn't about whether the shooting criteria are met, but whether we're fully immersed in the scene itself?
That's right. Our photos will feel more genuine if we let go of that "professional" mindset.
Then let's go somewhere we feel like having fun! Any suggestions, {var:player_nickname}?
If it's an activity we both enjoy... then how about Mahjong Soul Shrine?
Good thinking! All the photos we took before were more focused on everyday moments...
But the vibe in the shrine is totally different, maybe we really could capture something special there! Let's go!
We went to a lot of places before, but I think... your favorite place of all is probably the gardening club.
I bet it's only when you're with the plants there that you really, truly relax.
Hehe, am I that easy to read? I was worried that you'd get bored if we just stayed there the whole time...
Let's go back to the gardening club then! We'll take a photo there... the perfect photo that only the two of us could capture!
We're baaack!
(Breathes deeply)
Yeah, the air in the gardening club sure is relaxing! Wanna give it a try, {var:player_nickname}?
The scent of earth and plants fills the air. I close my eyes and draw a deep breath.
However, the tranquility I was anticipating is short-lived. A warmth suddenly brushes by my cheek followed by a faint clicking sound.
Hehe, got it! You had such a calm expression on your face there, {var:player_nickname}. I felt like we were both in the zone!
...Just what kind of photo did she take with me when my eyes were shut?
Before I can come up with an answer, Hinata excitedly turns on her camera, adjusts a few settings, and then points the lens down at the ground beneath the leaves.
Ah, the sunlight is lovely today! The way it's shining through the leaves and dappling the ground is so pretty.
I couldn't possibly waste such a good opportunity to photograph the plants! Okay, first up is the sunflowers...
Then the little potted plants on the windowsill...
Gosh, they're all so photogenic... Who should I take a photo of next...?
Oh, {var:player_nickname}...!
I sure did! This angle and lighting are perfect! Don't move a muscle, {var:player_nickname}!
Not at all, you're in just the right spot... Hold that pose for me, please... and stay completely still.
And I'm going to come in a little closer... Okay, I'm pressing the shutter button now!
(Click)
...Finally, we got it!
Amazing! {var:player_nickname}, this is the perfect photo I wanted to take!
I can't show you yet!
Very mysterious... I wasn't making a weird face, was I?
Of course not. The lighting, the composition, and your expression all looked great!
Let's get going. We got a great photo, so let's have some lunch!
I brought a lunch basket – let's find somewhere nearby to have a picnic!
Hehe! We're going on a picnic! There's still plenty more fun we can have before the day's over!
That lawn's always so busy at lunchtime, let's...
...Huh?
Oh no, it's starting to rain! Come on, Hinata! Let's find shelter!
It was a clear, sunny day just a moment ago, how could it...
Eek! The rain is getting bigger...! This is bad, I can't let my camera get wet...!
Oh... Thank you, {var:player_nickname}...!
Hinata ducks under my coat. It isn't big enough to fully cover the two of us, so all we can do is squeeze close together.
{var:player_nickname}, come closer!
Careful, don't get caught in the rain!
I'm okay... Huh?! {var:player_nickname}, watch out!
It's blowing the rain in...!
We can take cover from the rain under those eaves! Let's hurry!
Rain pours down as turbulent winds whip raindrops at us from all directions.
Under my coat, I hear Hinata's breathing turn uneven.
I can barely keep my eyes open. My vision blurs, but Hinata's warmth beside me is enough to guide me as I make for the shelter of the eaves.
What a big storm... Phew... I should have checked the weather forecast...
Yes, I'm fine...! What about you? You'd better dry off before you catch cold.
Don't worry, I'm fine. What about your camera?
Oh, my camera...! It should be fine, right?!
Oh, my camera...! It should be fine, right?!
...
I'm not so sure...
Oh no... With all that rain, if the film roll got wet...!
...Some water got in.
This is bad... What do we do now, {var:player_nickname}...?
All our photos were in there... No...
Hinata... Hinata?
{var:player_nickname}... What is it?
Even if water got in, some of the photos may still be salvageable... As soon as the rain stops, let's take the film to a specialist. There may only be a small chance... but it's still worth trying.
...You're right!
Early autumn rains often clear up as quickly as they begin – within an hour, the rain has stopped.
{var:player_nickname}, I'm back.
The clerk said so much water got in that the film is all stuck together and the emulsion is peeling off... They can't be developed. Not even our perfect photo.
Then... what do you have in that bag?
This is the only one left. I accidentally hit the shutter while we were trying to get out of the rain...
The photo is blurred and badly water-damaged, but I can still see Hinata gripping my hand tightly as she pulls me through the hazy curtain of rain.
The composition is a mess, it's dark, blurry, and you can barely make out our faces... This definitely can't be the cover photo for our album.
I think it's just the opposite – this photo is unique, and special too.
...Huh?
It's blurry, yet you can clearly see how tightly our hands are clasped together.
Eh? I didn't even notice...
At the time... I was just trying to keep you from getting rained on...
To me, the way you held my hand so tightly in the rain was your way of protecting my feelings.
How strange. I didn't think this was a good photo before...
But after what you've said... even though it's not quite what I was looking for, maybe it's not so bad after all.
Looking at this photo really does take me straight back to that heavy rain – to the feeling of running for shelter with you...
...As well as the pitter-patter of the rain on your coat over our heads... our ragged breathing... and how my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest.
Photographs are carriers of memories. When I look at this picture, I can remember exactly how I was feeling at the time it was taken. Doesn't that meet the criteria?
Hinata doesn't answer immediately. Instead, she looks down and fixes her eyes on the blurry photo, then nods.
{var:player_nickname}.
Can we... retake our photo together another time?
Mm. I'll treasure every second as I capture all the moments you and I share together.
This may be the only photo left from this shoot, but next time... I promise I'll keep our memories safe!
Actually, I just realized that as long as we're together, every photo holds a precious memory...
Perhaps every photo we take together will be the "perfect photo" in my heart.
Just a moment ago, you were agonizing over every flaw in that photo of us holding hands...
Hey...! It's just that... I was being a little too greedy before.
I used to think that for a photo to bring back memories, it needed the perfect setting, composition, and lighting...
But today I learned that none of that was necessary to begin with... To capture an unforgettable memory, all I had to do was press the shutter in that exact moment...
{var:player_nickname}! Can we... make a promise?
Yes... That from this day on, no matter what happens – rain or shine, whatever we may be doing...
...You'll hold my hand like you did today, and that we'll share all those unforgettable moments together?
Hehe, it's a promise then!
No matter what happens in the future, I won't let go of your hand, {var:player_nickname}!
Pinky promise!
If you break your promise... you have to help me loosen the soil, water the plants, and put all the potted plants out in the sun! And on top of that...
...Wait, there's even more?!
Ever since that storm, taking photos has taken on a slightly different meaning for the two of us. It's no longer an activity that has to be meticulously planned; instead, it's become one of those small, natural moments in life.
Just like now...
{var:player_nickname}... Don't move!
Correct! I've found a great shot, so stay perfectly still, {var:player_nickname}!
You look great, {var:player_nickname}! Hehe.
Her finger hovers over the shutter button as golden light cascades through the branches above her head. Time seems to slow down as the light lingers at the ends of her hair, with only the wind rustling through the leaves and our quiet breaths breaking the silence.
(Click)
This is the one! With this shot, we have a perfect ending to today's field trip!
Since we agreed that this photo album is for the two of us to share, shouldn't you let me see the photo this time?
Nope, it's a secret! If you want a sweet result, you'll have to be patient and wait for it to ripen!
The screen has merely captured the image, but... that sensation that makes your heart skip a beat...
...will have to wait until we can sit down on a bench to go through the photo album together.
I have no idea what kind of photo Hinata just took, but seeing the corners of her mouth lift with satisfaction...
I know that once the picture is developed, I'll remember today's sunlight, the green leaves, and her smile all over again.
Hehe! After a Kan!
I can't believe you won with such a tricky play, nyaa!
Even a pro like me can have an off day, woof...
I was all fired up to take photos today, but I channeled that energy into playing mahjong instead – it only makes sense that I'm on a roll!
I get it, nyaa! It's like when you have no snacks to eat or nobody to play mahjong with, so you end up wanting to scratch the floor and squish every cardboard box in sight, nyaa!
Pretty sure that's just a you thing, woof... You know, it's a good thing you two came here when you did. If you'd gotten caught in that storm, you definitely would've caught a cold.
True. That was some good foresight on your part, {var:player_nickname}!
It's raining now, so we'll just have to do it another time... But we can treat this as the start of a whole new memory and take a photo to remember it by!
That sounds pretty good, too!
Since there are four of us here in the mahjong room, why don't Ichihime and Wanjirou take a photo with us?
We're taking a photo, nyaa? Then I want to be right in the middle of it, nyaa!
When it comes to this handsome face, remember to capture my cool, yet approachable side, woof.
It's not the photo I was imagining, but everyone looks so happy in it.
That's the end of this roll of film... And here I thought the "perfect photo" would be on it.
I actually had a great day today! You and I went to so many different places, we got to play mahjong together, and we snapped such a lively group photo!
{var:player_nickname}, we'll definitely capture it the next time we get together!
Hearing you say that makes me even more motivated, {var:player_nickname}! I'm going to plan an amazing outing for us next time!
I'll be sure to pick a day with better weather and a better place... so that nothing could go wrong when I invite you!
But days when nothing could go wrong are hard to come by. Looks like the cover of the new photo album will remain empty for a long time to come.
Only the undeveloped roll of film in the camera captured this slightly damp afternoon.
Phew, I'm stuffed... How did it taste, {var:player_nickname}...?
Have you had enough rest, Hinata? Shall we go to a new place and take another photo?
Oh... um...
Actually... I'm having a nice time just sitting here. I'm full after a nice meal, the plants are quiet, and I just got nice and warm in the sunlight...
And something about being next to you is making me a little sleepy...
I'll just... lean against you for a moment... Just for five more minutes...
Without waiting for my reply, Hinata slowly leans her head against my shoulder.
Her warm breath gently brushes against my collar. As the rain falls rhythmically outside the window, she drifts off to sleep.
(whisper) ...Looks like our photographer is calling it a day.
Zzz...
(whisper) Then... I'll be the one to record this new memory of ours.
Her breathing is soft and steady. It's been a busy day... she must be exhausted. She looks so peaceful resting against me.
I press the shutter in my mind, etching this moment into my memory.
Outside the greenhouse, the rain is pouring down, but inside, all is quiet and still. On this afternoon where we've simply pressed "pause," no new photos are taken and no future plans are made – it's just us and our unspoken bond.
